This was a short read by author Cara Addison and while short it packed a lot.

Xander is a new to the coast and his first official night there he meets and sleeps with Lexi Marshall. When she finds out that he is not a tourist but a new local she runs away. Even though she doesn’t want to involve him with her life she can’t stay away from him.

Xander is falling hard and fast for Lexi but he has a lot on this plate; trying to solve the murder or a local woman before the leads run dry.

I enjoyed this book to the point the murder investigation had me at the edge of my seat. I wanted to know who the killer was and I wanted Xander to solve it.

My only issue with the books was that I was left with questions and I am not sure if the next book in the series will answer it or if I will be left with no answers.

I give this book 3 diamonds for great action and drama, I can’t wait to see how this series grows from here.
