Bracken is a man of honor who serves his planet and has had a real hard time dealing with love and family. His mother and three out of four sisters have made his life miserable, so much that staying away from them is the best option.
Sadie is royalty but due to life and a pretty awful mother has had to deal with some gruesome things. She has made a name for herself and is well respected by her peers. She has a secret and protecting it might not lead to the outcome she is expecting.
This is the second book in the series and when I read it I was glad the author added a prologue that helped me understand the story better.
Lies have kept Bracken and Sadie apart but there seems to more at play then just their mating. Their families want nothing more then to keep them apart, not caring that they have suffered because of this. While there are some story-line issues for me it was difficult to figure out all the moving parts. I will definitely read the first book in the series Adiraβs Mate so that I can fully understand some of the characters.
