I will start by saying that from this title I assumed it was a paranormal book with vampires LOL… and everyone knows I love vampires.

I had mixed feelings about this book and I found it hard to connect with the characters. Thibaut is a tortured soul from his army years and he is carrying the guilt from his years of battle. Grace is domme or pretending to be since a bad experience left her damaged and unwilling to submit. I wanted more from this book but I I think the length played a disadvantage to getting the depth needed to develop these characters.

This was a quick read and it gave you good sex scenes but I felt confused in certain places. The power struggle between Thibaut and Grace was difficult to read for me. I was not sure how it would turn out but I was glad that they were able to get past their issues. I still felt like there was no closure and it could be that there will more from them in the up coming books. I give this book 3 diamonds and I hope to read more from this author.
