Ethan is the good boy next door the one that never seems to get the girl and always seems to come in last. Coming from a family of law enforcement he is always fighting to get out of his dad’s shadow and his older brother. When he is called as back up a rookie office he gets a surprise he wasn’t looking for. Heather is a rookie and eager to prove herself in a career where women are not respected by most men. She is enamored with Ethan and is constantly chastising herself for thinking of him. When they come together again they realize there is more than just attraction.

I enjoyed this novella and was super excited to be able to read all of them at once. I am not a patient person so it made me very happy to binge read these books. There are a lot of characters thrown at you but the author does a great job at introducing them. Ethan and Heather are adorable and once they find their balance their relationship grows. Letting go sometimes it’s easier said than done but once you do things can be magical. Make sure you pick the Kelly Family series you won’t be disappointed.
