I will start by saying that this book should be read in order.

Jolรกn and Colemund are in love and enjoying their time together without realizing the forces that are aligning to bring her down.

I really wanted to love this book but I found it hard to relate to it and found myself confused at times. The book seemed to be set in modern times because we read about cell phones and airports but there are times you feel like your reading a historical. I am not sure if this was intentional by the author to give an old school feel but at time I felt like I was reading two books. I really enjoyed the storyline with the four elements and found her interpretation to be refreshing.
