The story is set in London in the year 1939; as many of you know this is around WWII and very difficult times in the region where everyone is just worry about war coming to their doors.

It revolves around RAF Lieutenant Charlie Butler and Kate Sheridan. Charlie is handsome lieutenant and Kate is a young beautiful Irish girl. She moves in his neighborhood and soon they are both falling in love. The story is not as fast as you’ll want it to be as the author is showcasing a lot of WWII concerns from the era; which is useful information and enjoyable information especially if you like historical. Charlie forgets all about War once he meets Kate and starts courting her, but young and naïve Kate is faced with Charlie’s reputation and things don’t go as expected.
